THE GROOVE TUBE probably takes a cue from British comedy troupes like Monty Python. A raunchy precursor to films like KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE and AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON, as well as television sketch comedy from SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE to THE KIDS IN THE HALL, THE GROOVE TUBE is also notable for early appearances from Chevy Chase and Richard Belzer.
